Franklin is not a small town, it’s twice the size of Columbia and belongs to the wealthiest county in the entire south omitting Florida

I should correct myself: Franklin experienced extreme depopulation after the Great War. Perilously close to the Nashville NEZ, government authorities withdrew back to Columbia early on, and a lot of its wealthy citizens fled with them to Columbia. There wasn't as much reason for people to stay in Franklin because it lacks the heavy industry that other cities in the region have. Franklin in 2059 is a shell of its former self.

This was written with input from the banned James Knox, a resident of Middle Tennessee, so some of what I'm saying is based on what he's advised me to say.

Ah okay. I am also a resident of middle Tennessee and I’m pretty sure I live one town over from the late James Knox.

Are you doing all 50 states, are just those that are most relevant to the story that you’re writing in this world?

I’m doing all fifty, plus territories.

Sick. When are you going to cover Maryland?

Once I’m done with the south. If you look at the states I’ve covered so far, you’ll see that I’m working my way from west to east. I finished with Appalachia and am now moving into the Deep South before I go northeast.

Fascinating stuff here. I'm not seeing anything specific about Chattanooga, which is (was) larger than Murfreesboro. Did I miss something?

Chattanooga got blown up along with Memphis and Nashville on day 1. Murfreesboro and Knoxville are mentioned because they were destroyed months later during the secondary strike phase.
